Bonsai Pot Made in Japan!

This is a valuable item, produced using a traditional method. It is a pot made from Udo soil (containing manganese and ferric oxide), green glaze and fired at high temperatures.

Japanese Banko pots are traditional ceramic pots, primarily used for bonsai. They are highly valued for their durability, texture, and natural colors, being crafted through a high-temperature firing process, which makes them highly resistant to frost.

The name "Banko" comes from the Japanese expression "Banko-yaki" (万古焼), which means “ceramics for eternity.” This name reflects the quality and durability of these pots, emphasizing that they are made to last a very long time.

Banko-yaki is a style of pottery originating from the Yokkaichi region in Mie Prefecture, Japan. Initially, this type of pottery was developed during the Edo period by the artisan Nunami Rozan, and over time, the technique evolved, becoming well-known for producing bonsai pots.
